A truly inspirational interview with Eike König. Eike König is the owner of HORT, a creative studio in Berlin. His profession is to have a good life. His studio takes a collaborative approach to solving clients problem and using a computers for them is just a tool.

Rebecca Ward uses meters and meters of tape, woven and interwoven, to create these stunning colourful installations. Can you believe she is only 26. I love how she uses the architectural details. I will never look at a roll of tape the same again.

Inspired by Land of the Giants and Goliath, we are reminded of mythical stories by mischievously unleashing a giant hand from the BBC Big Screen. Passers by will be playfully transformed. What if humans weren’t on top of the food chain? Unsuspecting pedestrians will be tickled, stretched, flicked or removed entirely in real-time by a giant deity.

IKEA has changed its typeface from Futura to Verdana which has provoked an instantaneous global backlash.

All this outrage over a font? For some designers, it’s an issue of propriety — Verdana, which was invented by Microsoft, was intended to be used on a screen, not on paper.

Last night we had a wicked storm in Toronto and we had a wicked party too. Thanks again Steve and all that made it happen.

What began as a never-produced poster idea has propagated itself into a series of 9 mock OPEN/CLOSED signs by aesthetic apparatus. Double-sided yet possibly commercially-useless, these signs will relay to passers-by and potential customers that you’re not really into categorizing your availability in such limited definitions like “open” or “closed.
